Terms of Use

Last updated: October 10, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to TheMomCalendar.com (the "Site"), operated by The Mom Calendar LLC ("we," "us"). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

1. We are an information directory only

The Site lists family events and kids' programs that are run by other people and organizations โ€” libraries, town parks & recreation departments, businesses, nonprofits and individuals ("Organizers"). We gather listings from public calendars and registration pages and from Organizers who submit them.

We do not organize, operate, host, sponsor, supervise, endorse, inspect, license, insure or vet any event, program, venue, instructor or Organizer. We do not run background checks. We do not check facilities, safety practices, staff qualifications, permits or insurance. A listing on the Site โ€” including a "Featured" or sponsored listing โ€” is not a recommendation or a statement that anything is safe or suitable for your child.

2. Always verify with the Organizer

Listings can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Dates, times, prices, age ranges, availability and locations can change or be cancelled without notice, and our automatic categorizing (for example age ranges and activity types) can be mistaken. Before you attend, register or pay, confirm all details directly with the Organizer. You are solely responsible for deciding whether any event or program is appropriate and safe for you and your children, and for supervising your children.

3. Registration and payment happen elsewhere

We don't sell tickets or take registrations for events or programs. Any registration, payment, waiver, refund or dispute is between you and the Organizer, under the Organizer's terms.

4. Third-party links

The Site links to websites we don't control (Organizer pages, maps, calendars). We aren't responsible for their content, privacy practices, availability or accuracy. Visiting them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

5. Paid and featured listings

Some listings are paid placements ("Featured") or sponsorships and are labeled. Payment buys visibility only; it is not an endorsement. We may accept, edit, decline or remove any listing at our discretion.

6. Provider submissions

If you submit a listing, you confirm that you are 18 or older, are authorized to do so, and that the information is accurate and not misleading, and doesn't infringe anyone's rights. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish, format and display it on the Site and in our newsletter. Don't submit any child's personal information. You are responsible for your program, including all safety, licensing, insurance and legal obligations.

7. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Site: no scraping that burdens it, no attempts to break security, no unlawful, harmful, misleading or infringing content, and no use of the Site to contact or collect information about children.

8. Children

The Site is meant for parents, caregivers and providers who are adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. See our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND ALL LISTINGS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, THE MOM CALENDAR LLC AND ITS OWNERS, MEMBERS AND CONTRACTORS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS OR DAMAGE ARISING FROM ANY EVENT, PROGRAM, VENUE OR ORGANIZER LISTED ON THE SITE, OR FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY LISTING. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limits, so some of these may not apply to you.

11. Indemnity

If you're a provider or you misuse the Site, you agree to defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your listing, your program, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Copyright and takedowns

We publish only facts (like titles, dates and places), our own short summaries, and links โ€” not Organizers' descriptions or images. If you believe something on the Site infringes your rights, see our DMCA / takedown page. To fix or remove a listing, use Report a listing.

13. Changes, governing law, contact

We may update these Terms; the date above shows the latest version. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Fairfield County, Connecticut. [Owner: consider whether you want an arbitration clause โ€” ask your attorney.]
